If you have shopped around for website design and solicited pricing you have probably heard the standard question "How much did you want to spend on your website?"  THAT question should be your first warning.

That actually is a ridiculous question. 

Think about this--someone calls you wanting a quote to clean either their office of their home. 

The first thing you want to know..."How many square feet". 

If you are doing a window cleaning estimate the same question.. "How many windows and what are the sizes". 

Why do you do that? 

Because you are trying to get an idea of the labor hours that will be needed for that specific job.

So tell me why should web design companies be different?

We have one question we asked when contacted about cleaning company website design...."Do you know how many pages you want?"  

Why?
